One of the initiatives we are starting is our inForm Business Profiles. We want to share with you the vast knowledge and insight of successful health and fitness business owners. If you have something to share with other health and fitness professionals please let us know, we’d love to hear from you.
Our first inForm Business Profile is Footpoint Shoe Clinic. Thanks to Andrew Taylor for the following insights.
How many years has Footpoint Shoe Clinic been operating? What’s your mission/philosophy and area of specialty?
Footpoint Shoe Clinic was setup in June 2008, with the opening of our Mosman store. Our mission is to provide ultimate client satisfaction by providing a caring and professional service, using the most accurate technology to fit the best functional footwear.
We are the first in Australia to use tracks and video analysis to help assess your foot and leg function. This is currently the most authentic method of testing footwear from anything available, as it is as close to hitting the road as possible. This allows us to measure the performance and function of footwear to ensure the best footwear for your needs.
With our in store podiatrists and service standards we have developed a new type of retail.
Our highly trained technicians have been podiatry trained to understand all of the important factors when selecting new footwear.
What is Footpoint’s key to success?
There have been a few contributors to our success. Firstly our versatility, being able to identify the changes in the market and within our business to constantly looking to improve our offering. This has been done through the development of fundamental systems and training of key staff members.
The main key to our success has been our understanding of our business and working to our strengths.
How does Footpoint maintain customer satisfaction?
We are committed to providing excellent customer satisfaction by constantly improving our offering. This has been done through ongoing investment in our team, constant staff training to ensure we have the best trained staff, the best range available and great after service care. We have also developed a loyalty program that has helped recognise and reward our clients more.
Community involvement is important to health & fitness businesses, does Footpoint get involved in any community initiatives?
Yes, we are heavily involved within our local communities. We do a number of different things ranging from, supporting local clubs, to working with schools and charities. We also have free running and walking groups and even started our own charity called Shoes For Planet.
What recommendations to you have for other health & fitness businesses?
Continually evolve your business and clearly communicate your message to your customer or clients.
